Hi. I am Emily White. I am a licensed clinical social worker but more specifically I am a helper that has a heart for people and helping them through life’s challenges. I help individuals and couples who are going through life transitions or a family conflict that has left them feeling anxious or depressed. I also support those who have had traumatic experiences and are seeking emotional and physical healing. During difficult times, the support I can offer can give you the breathing room to make sense of whatever circumstances life has thrown your way.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Stockton University. I have had extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma- focused cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness which I practice in a holistic manner so we are actively partnered to create your empowered and authentic self who is ready to take on any challenges that life might present. I utilize and center all of my couple’s therapy work on the Gottman Method which is evidenced based and one of the most popular methods of couple’s therapy across the country.
